Al-Sandwich
The rigidity of the aluminium aluminum combined with the damping of a cellulose layer - thanks to aluminium aluminum sandwich technology, the audio reproduction achieved by ELAC bass drivers is very precise.
In a special glueing procedure, an aluminium foil of 0.2 mm is joint to a pulp fibre cone to form a sandwich membrane.The result: reduced partial oscillations, no distortions and an optimized large signal behaviour.
In combination with the aluminum-coloured tweeters, the aluminum sandwich woofers also make innovative technology a visual experience.
Fabric Dome
Even at higher volumes, the fabric dome tweeter always provides a smooth audio experience.
Transparent sound is reproduced by this 25 mm tweeter consisting of a coated silk dome resulting in a smooth roll off at frequencies above 20,000 Hz without noticeable resonances. A special wave-guide together with the protection grille results its wide dispersion characteristics.Its extraordinary power handling capacity is resulting from two design features: the compact high efficiency neodymium magnetic system with cooling fins and the aluminium voice coil cooled by ferro-fluid.
Additionally, the magnetic system is shielded.
Due to the new faceplate (back high gloss) only the tweeter grille and woofer diaphragm are visible, the kick of the new 60.2 Series.
Magn. Shielding
Watch television without having distorted color - thanks to magnetic shielding these ELAC speakers can be installed right next to CRT screens or devices with hard drives sensitive to magnets.
Thanks to the magnetic shielding, these speakers can also be set up in proximity to cathode ray tube TVs or devices with integrated hard disks or attached to them without creating interference.
Paint Mask
Want to paint the frame of your in-wall speaker? Simply apply the mask, add paint and it's finished, with no annoying spots of paint on the visible front.
The transparent paint masking stencil film supplied enables easy and individual painting of the grille and frame to suit your individual requirements.
Sealed Install Box
Simple assembly, defined volume - the back box for in-wall speakers guarantees optimal ELAC audio and protects the speaker from dirt.
The sealed enclosure optimizes the bass response while it minimizes the dust build up internally.
ELAC In-wall loudspeakers are ideal for lightweight walls and ceilings.
The installation cover and the front grille can be painted according to your requirements.

Treble Adjust
Want more or less treble from your in-wall speakers? The ELAC control allows you to adjust this to your personal preferences or room conditions.
The wall loudspeakers are provided with a tweeter level adjustment control. The standard position is '0 dB' and it can be used for most applications. If the tweeter output is too strong at the listening position, it can be reduced by 2 dB (position '-2dB').It can also be increased by 2 dB (position '+2dB'), if more trebles is desired.
